There are many parallels that can be drawn between an individual\u2019s memories and the water within a painting. Our memories can be chaotic just like the restless oceans, but they can also be full of clarity and resonate a perfect peace like a body of still water. Water will never cease to reflect the beauty of the blue skies directly above; what we know nothing of are the battles that rage below the water\u2019s supposedly calm surface.<\/p>\n

My work is inspired by my memories of various landscapes I’ve visited.\u00a0The paintings create an immersive experience for the viewer, which may transport them to an alternate reality. \u2018The individuality of our awareness, what we each seek and find in nature, will determine our unique invented visions\u2019 (Masterfield, 1990).<\/p>\n
